The University of Iowa Hawkeyes are one of the most prolific programs in all of college athletics. Its 22 sponsored sports regularly compete for conference championships, while select sports and individuals have won national championships for decades.

For the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series® race at Iowa Speedway, Spire Motorsports driver Corey LaJoie and team partner Gainbridge are hoping to add another accolade to the Hawkeyes’ winning ways with a special paint scheme on the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro. LaJoie’s ride will sport the same black and gold as the university’s athletic programs and will sport the aggressive Hawkeyes logo on its hood as it races for victory at the Newton, Iowa short track.

NASCAR® and Hawkeyes fans alike can now honor the successes of the program with the official Lionel Racing die-cast replica of LaJoie’s No. 7 University of Iowa Hawkeyes / Gainbridge Chevrolet Camaro. Built on the latest Chevrolet NASCAR Cup Series® tool, each 1:24-scale die-cast is offered in two unique trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk. The ELITE also features a chassis plate that can be removed to reveal a detailed undercarriage. Each die-cast is produced with rolling Goodyear tires, a working suspension, hand-placed decals, and more. A 1:24-scale model plated in Lionel Racing’s Color Chrome finish, as well as a smaller, 1:64-scale die-cast are also available.
