Hendrick Motorsports® rookie driver Corey Day scored his first NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series® victory by leading only the final lap at Talladega Superspeedway. The 20-year-old Day, from behind the wheel of the No. 17 HendrickCars Chevrolet, ran amongst the lead pack late and edged out to a last-lap lead as the checkered and yellow flags waved simultaneously to earn his first win.
