A 110-race winless streak came to a thrilling end for RFK Racing driver and team co-owner Brad Keselowski at Darlington Raceway.
Keselowski, who last went to NASCAR Cup Series® Victory Lane in April of 2021, patiently waited for the perfect time to pounce to the lead late in the Darlington race.
Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford Mustang, which celebrated the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR® at Darlington with a retro look of a Castrol-sponsored sports car from the
1990s, took advantage of hard racing between the two leaders in the closing laps. When the top-two drivers bumped, received damage and fell off the pace, Keselowski sped
to the lead on lap 285 and led the final nine laps for the victory. The win didn’t just end Keselowski’s winless streak, but it was the first NASCAR Cup Series® victory for the
latest Ford Mustang Dark Horse model and the first 2024 win for a Ford in the series, as well.
Keselowski’s fans can now celebrate this throwback victory with the official Lionel Racing raced-win die-cast of the No. 6 Castrol Throwback Ford Mustang. Built on Lionel
Racing’s newest Mustang Dark Horse tool, each die-cast recreates all the scuffs, throwback markings, and confetti seen on the winning car in Victory Lane. Each 1:24-scale is available in two distinct trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) hood-open model and also a fully die-cast ELITE version that is built with an opening hood and trunk. The ELITE also boasts a chassis plate that can be removed to reveal authentic undercarriage detail. A smaller, 1:64-scale, die-cast is also on offer. Each die-cast will
feature foil numbers to replicate the look of the on-track car.
